Jesper Ganslandt confirmed as the new director of Mission Blacklist

L'invasione svedese di Hollywood continua. Jesper Ganslandt  è stato ingaggiato per dirigere Robert Pattinson nel thriller psicologico Mission: Blacklist, del giovane e brillante inquisitore militare che dirige la cattura di Saddam Hussein. Il film è basato sulla vita di un soldato trasformato in Agente dell'inintelligence,  Eric Maddox, che ha incanalato le sue esperienze nel libro di saggistica nel 2008 Mission: Black List # 1 - The Inside Story della ricerca di Saddam Hussein - Come racconta il soldato che è stato la mente della sua cattura. Il progetto di Code Entertainment è stato annunciato a Cannes l'anno scorso, quando Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire era stato scelto per dirigerlo. Dopo l'uscita di Sauvaire, Ganslandt lo ha sostituito e farà il suo debutto in lingua inglese dopo aver diretto tre film, Blondie, The Ape, e Falkenberg Farewell, nella sua nativa Svezia. Le riprese sono previste per l'autunno. La sceneggiatura è di Band Of Brothers degli scrittori  Erik Jendresen, Dylan Kussman, e Trace Sheehan. Ross M. The Swedish invasion into Hollywood continues. Jesper Ganslandt has been tapped to direct Robert Pattinson in the psychological thriller Mission: Blacklist, about a brilliant young military interrogator who spearheads the capture of Saddam Hussein. Pic is based on the life of soldier-turned-intelligence agent Eric Maddox, who funneled his experiences into the 2008 nonfic book Mission: Black List #1 – The Inside Story Of The Search For Saddam Hussein – As Told By The Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture. The Code Entertainment project was announced at Cannes last year, back when Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire was set to direct. Following Sauvaire’s departure, Ganslandt stepped in and will make his English-language debut after directing three features — Blondie, The Ape, and Falkenberg Farewell — in his native Sweden. Filming is scheduled for the fall.

The script is by Band Of Brothers scribe Erik Jendresen, Dylan Kussman, and Trace Sheehan. Ross M. Dinerstein of Preferred Content is producing alongside Jendresen and Kevin Waller, with Code Entertainment producing and financing the project. Jesper is repped by Paradigm and Magnolia.
